Does anybody know were I can see how fast my Superdrive can burn DVD's?

I think this is the Superdrive installed:
MATSHITA DVD-R UJ-816

Hope someone can help me, thanks.

hi,

should be 2x, but apples system profiler only notes model, not speed.

if you use toast 6, the possible recording speeds will show in the recorder settings dialogue when you insert the disk to be burned. assuming the disk you insert is writeable at your maximum drive speed, that should give you the info you need.

btw: burning a full dvd should take about an hour at 1x, 30 min at 2x, 15 min at 4x etc
