Wow, that is deeply disturbing.

As opposed to what - plotting to assassinate the President?
Perhaps if Abu Ali wasn't plotting assassination attempts or hanging out with his al Qaeda buddies, none of this would be happening.

Do you think he could kill Mr. Bush if he would have been under US custody? And do you think using evidence(his admission of talking about killing Mr. Bush) gathered under torture is OK?
And lastly, do you believe everyone who talks about killing Mr. Bush should be tortured to get "evidence" from him?

Yes to all the above. This is one case where I am glad we have fiscally responsible Republicans in power instead of those Democrats with their record budget deficits.
House Speaker Dennis Hastert is conscientiously holding the line on this issue:
Hebert asked if House Speaker Dennis Hastert would support Markey's bill. One of Hastert's representatives said no. The reason why?
"The speaker does not support the Markey proposal. He believes that suspected terrorists should be sent back to their home countries."
Surprised, I asked why suspected terrorists should be sent anywhere. Why shouldn't they be held by the United States and prosecuted?
"Because," said [Pete] Jeffries [Hastert's communication's director], "U.S. taxpayers should not necessarily be on the hook for their judicial and incarceration costs."

If they're chilling out with top al Qaeda figures responsible for the Riyadh bombings, begging to be the organization's next Khalid Sheik Muhammed, and plotting to kill the President?
Yup.. interrogate intensively all those who meet such criteria for all the information they have.
