I need to create a stand-alone help book, like those found in /Library/Documentation/Help.

I followed the guide at Apple.com but that does not say how to 'compile' the htmlfiles into a '.help' file.

Does anyone know how to do this ?

.help is a bundle, not a file. I don't believe they're documented, or supported, you'll probably have to just copy the structure of an existing one.
