Is that XBox lock life size?

I think just seeing it would scare burglars away. Or they would die laughing... hmmm

Thanks for the pics. I intended going (from Coventry), but I haven't finished my final year project yet, and I spent all morning pissing about with Tiger, so decided I couldn't justify it. I'm looking forwards to more pics!

Nice pictures, thanks for posting. Our "Tiger World Premiere" party will occur in four hours.

It's already THAT busy? Damn it! I'm gonna be so far behind in line.

I don't get off work until 2, then I have to drive an hour and a half to the store. D'oh!

You go to an Apple Store and end up with a lousy xBox keyring somehow. Check it out in all its monstrous glory

Not to worry a Grand Opening T-Shirt, Tiger and a 10% discount on an Airport Express more than make up.

Dan, are you in the UK? The only reason he got the shirt was because he went to an Apple Store grand opening.

for NY event

i cant help but think OSX and Apple is really coming into it's own. What do PC users think when hip people line up for 2 blocks outside a magnificent Apple store in the hippest part of town?

for those of you in NY, we all know SOHO store has hot boys and girls (and gays) who work in all the art/design jobs the city has and shop there. Plus the iPod brings in the non mac-owning PC "cool crowd".

i've witnessed how a crappy clothing designer (Hilfiger) and other pop cult youth items like iPods can just take off once they are "in". I think Apple is "in" right now and I think it's going to be imminent that "OSX" is going to be too ( as long as apple doesn't f**k up)

We had several people come to us at the Chestnut Hill Mall asking what the line was about. My wife and I were first in line again, that was a lot of fun. Had our picture taken, "You are one of our most loyal customers.

Combined Tiger launch and opening of new Apple Center in Lyngby. From the accompanying text at the site of the Danish Mac Centers:

Begivenheden overraskede Lyngby fuldstndig, og den lokale ordensmagt mtte rykke ud og f styr p tropperne.
Which means, The event took Lyngby completely by surprise/storm, and local authorities had to move in to get things under control.

Nope, they were handing out apples to those waiting outdoors in line; they were also handing out popcorn and assorted candy in front of the Apple store I walked by. It was a Tiger launch thing.

Nope, it's a fruit & veggie vendor place thingy (one of those small, crammed ones that are invariably owned by Middle Easterners and are invariably about 600% cheaper than supermarkets) - just checked on krak.dk, and the address next to the new Apple Center is exactly that, a veggie store!
