I'd like to be able to run 'repairing permissions' and 'sudo periodic daily/weekly/monthly' from and apple script command were I can just stick the script in my login and it will run at 1am weekly. I've got to admit that if it was windblows I could fingure it out but I have no idea how to do it with Mac OS. can anyone supply me with a script?

It is not necessary to repair permissions on a regular basis. Only do this when you experience permission problems.

If you are running Tiger any periodic scripts are run at the time they are supposed to run or at the next opportunity when the computer wakes up, so they can't be missed.

^ Ditto.

You could do it with cron, but it would be a waste of time.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!
