Hey folks,
I have an external harddrive I use for media and such. Recently, the harddrive won't respond correctly in OSX. If I try to move or delete something on it, it makes the move or delete sound, but it doesn't do it. I'll then try to dismount it, but it says it's in use. This happens randomly. I end up flicking the switch on the back of the drive. When I turn it back on, it either doesn't recognize it, says the drive is unformatted, or the same unresponsiveness. It usually takes 2-3 flicks of the switch to get it working...
I'm wondering if it's the harddrive (120gb Seagate) or the chipset in the external drive. I hope it's not the drive... The chipset is a Prolific...so I'm leaning towards that as the problem.
Anyone notice these symptoms at all?
Thanks
