I'm betting it's related to England's odd rules about the date on the magazine is when it gets taken OFF the shelf, not when it's released.

It has been widely rumored for many years that Travolta is a homosexual, FWIW. Even those of us in the hetero word have known about it, so it's not exactly an inside story. Some say he became a Scientologist because they claimed they could cure him.

It's funny, all these people are apparently able to cure gay people. The whole cure thing always annoyed me even when I would have liked to be cured.

What I found more shocking than his gayness was the text on the picture. Which, since I live in a hole in the ground, never knew anything about until I google'd for more:

a) They're making a movie based on the musical Hairspray which is an adaptation of the classic movie of the same name by John Waters
b) Travolta will be playing the character of Edna Turnblatt, who was played by Divine in the original movie
c) Queen Latifah and Christopher Walken will also be in this Broadway film adaptation
d) There will be much singing and dancing by the three of them

Please, for the love of all that is holy New Line, do not continue this film!!!! Think of the childrens!!

As a Waters fan, I am extremely mortified.

I remember hearing about a friend I went to youth group with, I saw her mom at Burger King and was like, oh how's Sarah doing? "Oh she's doing fine, her and her roommate just bought a house."
I saw her and her "roommate" a couple months later at the pride parade, it was funny to think that at one point given the small size of our church's youth group, the sr. high section was 40% gay.

Considering it is now "cool" to be the gay, that percentage doesn't suprise me.

Seriously though, the hilarious thing is that I used to always flirt with her. I mean we'd been friends since like grade 7 or something, I remember I'd do the "yawn/arm behind the shoulders" thing all the time with her and she'd just give me this look of "you loser." Others in the group would refer to it as, "Doing the Dave."
Recently my friend Jon jokingly went to do it, and he drew my attention to that, to which I replied, "I dono Jon, look at how me and Sarah turned out..." he stopped mid way

Could they possibly be cheek kissing and the photographer caught a frame in between cheeks that looks like it's a full on mouth kiss? Though Travolta sure is standing in a very gay manner in the inset picture. Would explain why Travolta's movies are so gay.

Only if Travolta takes a really long time to unpucker and kind of brushes by the other guy's lips after kissing his cheek. Gay seems more likely.
