My GV teteport56k flex? x2 external modem that I have been using has been acting up by leaving the connection bar on the menu bar even after restarting on turning the computer off and on again. In the past this will have somehow take care of the problem. Now I can not get on the net or fax stuff because the computer thinks the modem/port is occupied. Please help me solve this problem. I believe this is a well know problem but I ca't seem to find the answer in the archive or in the forum section.
Thank you
PS I am using my laptop to connect temporarily. The one I am having problem with is a G3 500, plenty of ram and os 9
