Not that I know of. It has the breadcrumb trail at the top and the column headers look a lot more blue.

Why not make the updates over night? I realize Apple is global, but most of their sales happen in time zones that are seeing daylight during these updates. Seems a fool time to perform them.

Maybe they have office bets as to how many new forum posts will be created during the time that they take the store down.

It's completely messed up in Safari 3 for me. Camino works though.
edit: Somehow imageshack "lost" my first image a few minutes after I uploaded it...weird.

Ugh, that is disgusting. Everything is too big and amateur like, unless Firefox on Ubuntu has messed it up.

Snazzy. Looks simple and clean to me. All the important information is there and easy to find. What's the problem exactly?
"Disgust"? That's really the first thing that comes to mind from seeing that kind of web page?

Have you considered that Apple *employees* will generally tend to work only during the time they're actually spending at the office?

I think disgusting was a bit too strong. Firefox on Ubuntu isn't rendering it properly. It screws up ebuyer as well. I just checked it on a WIndows machine and it looks better, I'm not a fan of the blue though.

Surely a company like Apple has night staff—or, at least, they could have, for those occasions when they need to take the Store offline.
Anyways, just noticed something odd that may or may not be new:
This is a screenshot of one of the boxes on the Apple on Campus site—the Danish Apple on Campus site. I know people say Danish and Dutch both sound like throat diseases gone wrong, but they’re not quite identical all the same, Apple... hem, hem.

The goal is to minimize downtime during peak hours. They will have IT staff working 24/7 because they have a large online store and will need to ensure that any issues are responded to quickly regardless of time of day, so that's not an issue anyway.

It actually reminds me of my Smooth Stripes theme I did for OS X back in the day.
Actually 10.5's gui and Smooth Stripes look a lot a like. My version of aqua's GUI was a bit darker, and it had no stripes. Plus I went and de-aquad a few things because I never really did like the gel look. I still use this theme to this day.
So getting used to Tiger is going to be a cinch

I did a double take at that post before I realized what Kevin meant.
I never realized you did Smooth Stripes, Kevin. Good work, it's the only theme I've ever used for longer than an hour.
The new store is nice, but I think the top left blue box is too distracting.
