So in Seattle we launch fireworks from the Space Needle for New Years. This year the fireworks started and then... stopped. All the fireworks literally stopped mid music. They managed to get the fireworks started again, only to have them stop another time. At the end, they just had some guy in a booth punching random buttons to launch random fireworks.
Video On Demand | KING5.com | News for Seattle, Washington
Additional highlights from the night:
• A clearly drunk anchorman kissing his co-anchor at the top of the Space Needle, and then babbling on about how he spilled "Root Beer" on the matches to light the fireworks.
• (Not shown in the linked video) Couple getting engaged at the bottom of the Space Needle. When one couple started kissing, one of the anchors urged them to leave room for "the holy spirit." (Again, the anchor was clearly drunk...)
Hilarious. Any other Seattlites watch this live?

Once you wanted revolution, now you're the institution, how's it feel to be the man?

I didn't watch the King 5 broadcast but I did watch the so-called fireworks show. The first two segments that were under computer control weren't bad. The last part was obviously done manually.

Seattle seems like such a cool place (I've only been there briefly). Nice to see they have screw ups like every other city.

My stupid iPhone game: Nesen Probe, it's rather old, annoying and pointless, but it's free.
Was free. Now it's gone. Never to be seen again.
Off to join its brother and sister apps that could not
keep up with the ever updating iOS. RIP Nesen Probe.
