Polishing a aluminum MB/MBP/MBA?

Has anybody tried polishing their aluminum-hulled notebook with Nevr-Dull or similar products? I polished a brushed stainless steel pen to a shine once, and wonder what a MB/MBP/MBA would look like with a mirror-like finish on the outside.

Unless you treated it or constantly kept polishing, I suspect it would oxidize right back down to dullness again within a few days/weeks.
Might be a nifty effect, though.

Nah, I'm a little to paranoid that I'd do something to wreck the appearance.

Aluminum only oxidizes under very specific and violent circumstances. Simply leaving it out in the air will do nothing.
