I'm preparing to take the Apple Support Essentials certification test. Does anyone know if it's multiple choice or "essay" style? I'd study completely differently for the two types of tests so I don't want to spend a lot of time memorizing "9 ways to do this" and "4 steps to achieving that" if I don't have to.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Multiple choice. Also, the right answer may not be the one that makes the most sense, the right answer may be the one Apple wants, in other words, the way the answers are worded is key. Pay careful attention to semantics while you study.

Many of the multiple choice have multiple correct answers as well, not a "single" answer. Fun times! What memories.

Thank you. And thank goodness. It would take a lot longer for me to memorize and be able to reel off a list of 16 "interfaces and protocols supported by default in Mac OSX" than to recognize them when I see them.

Thanks for the heads-up too. I gathered from the way the answers to the study questions are worded that there is a certain desired slant to some of the answers. Now I can devote my attention to that more than memorizing by rote the "8 utilities available when starting up from the install DVD" and the like.
