OK, so I did a search and I have relized that you can no longer format a zip 100 as a pc disk. When did this happen and why? First of all I don't really care for Iomega, but I have the drive so I thought I would use it to transfer files off PC and drop them onto my Mac. Can I still do this or what. I kinda got the jist, I need to download the drivers from Iomega, great . Have they fixed the problems with them or are they still all kinds of problems. Would it just be easier to pick up a pc formatted disk, will my Mac read it? I'm running 9.2.1.
Thanks.

Yeah, they killed pc floppy support on os 9.1. Strange ain't it, there wasn't much point. Probably got the same problem with the zip, though i'm not sure. Iomega software may still have this feature however. I think (not sure) it will read and write the pc formatted zipdisc, but won't be able to format it.

correctamundo. same up through 9.2.1. i am personally offended by this decision, as i have a pc zip drive that stops working at approx. 41 megs into the disk and i thus can't format it on the pc.
