Tried to change to Netscape from IE, changed default browser in control panel Internet, etc. Now I get "Error" message saying their is problem with scripting command every time I select "Browse the Internet." Any suggestions? imac dv 8.6

I'm sure there is a real solution out there but my novice perspective is:

I would think that you could always trash the "browse the internet" icon. You can then make an alias from the Netscape application and put it where your "Browse the internet" icon is now.

What does the "browse the internet" script do anyway? It just seems to call up internet explorer.

You're right, Tadd, all the script does is open the default browser as so . . .

on run
openDefaultBrowser()
end run

an alias on the desktop would do the same thing.
