Can anyone help me out with a simple AppleScript to change the monitor resolution on my Mac? My 5-year-old likes to play her Putt-Putt game that looks best at 640x480, but I prefer 1024x768. It's a bit much to ask her to change the resolution herself.

I (and Lyssa) would appreciate any help.

We're running OS 9.04 btw.

I think you'll need an AppleScript OSAX, such as Jon's Commands, to change screen resolutions. The command "screen list" is what you're looking for, me thinks.

Once upon a time, long before there was an AppleScript, i had a neat little piece of software called Switch-A-Roo, which used a hot-key to switch between two preset monitor settings. There may be other non-AppleScript solutions running around too which you might consider.
