A bug in the DNG files created by the B&W camera the Leica Monochrom Typ 246 can cause the new Photos app from Apple to crash and corrupt the existing Photos library, potentially putting every photo in that library at risk. Any attempt to load the DNG-formatted RAW files from the camera will cause the Photo library to "crash continuously on loading," said the company in a service advisory. Until the fix for the issue is released, Leica is suggesting users use Adobe Lightroom instead.
The camera maker says it is working with Apple on a fix, which will likely appear in a future update of Photos, the successor to iPhoto (and to a lesser extent Aperture) in OS X Yosemite (10.10) and later. "As such, Leica Camera does not recommend using the Apple 'Photos' app for DNG files from the new Monochrom (Typ 246) until further notice," said the company.
The $7,500 camera only began shipping to buyers earlier this week, with the Typ 246 being a revision of the original Monochrom model. As a workaround, Leica has suggested that users work with another RAW file importer, such as Adobe Lightroom (version 6 or the later CC editions) to process Monochrom DNG files until the update is released.

Proofread much? Title should be "working to resolve BUG"
And in the lead paragraph "potentially putting every PHOTO in that library at risk."
And you do this for a living?

Fortunately, this bug only has the potential to affect 3 people in the US, 7 globally.

Easy, killer.
The writer is sick, and took it live accidentally before an edit pass.
