I've a Plus and a SE standing in the cellar. Now I think of how I can get them connected to my local ethernet. Do anybody know how to do that - and where I can buy the periphals

I got a bunch of NuBus ethernet cards laying around, but I don't think them computers have any place for such expansion...

i recently got a Mac Plus for only $5 and after i found out that it actually works i've been scouring the net for info. So i happen to know the answer to your question.

You'll have to look for the Asante EN/SC which converts SCSI to ethernet. i've read, but have not looked personally, that you can find it on eBay.

Asante used to have a line of ethernet adapters for older Macs. They connect via the SCSI port. Not sure if they still carry them, but I found a page on how to connect a Plus to ethernet at http://www.jagshouse.com/PlusToiMac.html .

The SE actually has a slot for an internal ethernet card, but the EN/SC by Asante will probably work just as well. Go to Asante's web site and make sure that they are compatible with 68000 machines (NOT 680x0 machines). If it doesn't specifically say SE, you may want to look around first to make sure it will work.
www.macresq.com used to have a bunch of these for cheap, but you have to download the software yourself.
