ATI Radeon 9200 -> Mac 8500?

Does anybody know if it is possible to flash a PC radeon 9200 to make it a Mac 8500? I heard somewhere the boards and chips are the same.

Actually......
Radeon 8500 and 9100 use the R200 core
Radeon 9000 and 9200 use the RV250 core
It seems 9100 and 9200 have locked rom partions making flashing them a no go

Has anyone tried flashing a 9100? If they use the same core would it work?
