French reseller claims new Mac Pro due in spring
A new Mac Pro is coming this spring, says French reseller France Systemes. The company makes the statement in a newsletter, claiming to have been informed of the update by Apple. No other details on the new hardware are mentioned.

The newsletter does repeat indications that Apple will stop selling the current Mac Pro in Europe on March 1st, since it violates new European Union components regulations. France Systemes also supports the view that Apple may be hoping to time a Pro update to avoid losing too many European sales. Apple CEO Tim Cook, however, has only promised a new machine sometime this year.
The Mac Pro has become one of Apple's most neglected products. The last major update took place in August 2010, which has left many components outdated. A minor refresh took place in June, but made so little difference that Apple quickly removed the "new" tag at its online store.
