KPN Mobiel TV commercial shows unknown Nokia Lumia device
A television advertisement in the Netherlands may have accidentally shown an <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/279342==http://www.electronista.com/articles/13/02/08/windows.phone.8.handsets.said.to.include.41mp.vers ion/" rel='nofollow'>unreleased</a> Nokia smartphone. The ad for Dutch carrier <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/279343==http://www.kpn.com" rel='nofollow'>KPN Mobiel</a> shows a number of phones being used by actors, with one appearing to have a different case design compared to others in the Nokia Lumia range, though this could be a continuity error rather than a new release.<br />
The advert in question initially shows a yellow handset as having rounded corners and a headphone jack, according <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/279344==http://mynokiablog.com/2013/02/15/video-unannounced-slim-lumia-appears-in-nokia-lumia-920-promo-from-kpn-netherlands/" rel='nofollow'>to</a> <em>My Nokia Blog</em>, a similar design to the <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/279345==http://www.electronista.com/articles/12/10/29/verizon.teases.lumia.822.is.coming.soon.for.100.on .contract/" rel='nofollow'>Lumia 822</a>, though the front of the device is not shown. A later shot shows a device with a rectangular face and sharper corners similar to the <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/279346==http://www.electronista.com/articles/12/09/05/lumia.920.gets.wireless.charging.as.standard.more/" rel='nofollow' target="_self" title="">Nokia 920</a>, though the back does curve around. While this could be caused through slightly different camera angles, it could also be a production issue with the phones being switched between scenes.
If it is indeed a new device and not a continuity error, Nokia could end up launching it at Mobile World Congress later this month.
