Samsung offices searched by police in OLED investigation
The headquarters of Samsung Display has been searched by police, as part of an investigation into possible OLED technology theft. Officers from the South Metropolitan Police Agency searched the offices in Asan, South Korea, for documents relating to the leak of secrets to LG, specifically anything that can show if Samsung itself is involved.

This new investigation follows on from the dropped lawsuit between the two companies, which also covered the possible transfer of trade secrets between the two companies, though it appears to be initiated by the police rather than by a victim's claims. Son Young Jun, spokeswoman for LG Display, stated "The latest investigation is related to large-sized OLED TV panel technology, but the police have made the allegation themselves," reports Bloomberg.
Spokesperson for Samsung Jun Eun Sun declared "We have no reason to steal other companies' technology, as we have the world's best OLED technology." Local police did not pass comment on the investigation.
