Briefly: Microsoft two-step security, Novatel MiFi 2 updates
Microsoft has enabled two-factor authentication for Microsoft Accounts. <a href="" rel='nofollow'>Leaked earlier</a> this month, users will see the option to add the extra security measure through the account management <a href="" rel='nofollow'>menu</a> over the next few days, and can download an authenticator app from the Windows Phone <a href="" rel='nofollow'>store</a> or use third-party apps on other platforms, according to a company blog <a href="" rel='nofollow'>post</a>. Apps and devices that will not work with the new security measure directly can have application-specific passwords created in order to function. <br />

<strong>Novatel Wireless updates MiFi 2 with longer battery life, faster speeds</strong><br />

Novatel Wireless is updating its <a href="" rel='nofollow'>MiFi 2</a> touchscreen mobile hotspot with some software-based improvements. Updates to the firmware that will be included in future devices increase the usage time of its battery from 11 hours to over 16 hours, as well as adding software for "Content Delivery Optimization," which is said to accelerate download speeds by up to 30-percent on 4G LTE connections
