Opera Next 15 bowser uses Chromium engine, separates Mail client
Opera has released a new version of its browser for desktops, using Chromium. Opera Next, effectively the beta version of the main Opera browser for PC and Mac, adds in a number of refinements to the previous iteration of the browser, including a new way of organizing bookmarks, as well as new content discovery options.

The Discover tab offers popular web pages to the user, with the option to personalize the aggregated link feed by subject matter and location, as well as allowing for the full global stream. Stash is a bookmarking tool that users can add items to when they find something they want to save, later presenting it in a large-icon tiled style. The Speed Dial quick links page shows a usual tiled bookmark interface, with the addition of organizing bookmarks into folders.

An added Off-Road mode, using the SPDY protocol, will help load sites quicker, and the Opera Mail client is no longer integrated into the browser, instead becoming its own standalone program, according to the company blog.
