Asus tackles Galaxy Note with 6-inch FonePad Note, Intel Atom
Foregoing the customary 'ARMdroid' combination, Asus has incorporated 1.6GHz a dual-core Intel Atom (Z260) into its new 6-inch FonePad Note. Squarely aimed at Samsung's popular 5.3-inch Galaxy Note 2 line (rumored to go 6-inches for the Galaxy Note 3), the FonePad Note also includes a stylus for handwritten input. Although running Android, Asus has not yet confirmed which iteration of 'Jelly Bean' that it is shipping with.

The FonePad FHD Note centers on a large 6-inch IPS 1080p display, continuing the shift to ever-larger phone call-capable Android handsets. With the former 5-inch 'phablet' category now reduced to a mainstream display size by the Galaxy S4, the 2013 version of Android phablets is now moving well into the 6-inch class. We recently reviewed the Huawei Ascend Mate, which is also 6-inches, but is priced at the mid-range market, while also carrying a lower resolution 720p display.

Connectivity is provided by a DC-HSPA+ cellular connection, otherwise eschewing the move to LTE among other high-end devices. An 8-megapixel camera is built into the rear of the device, while a 1.2-megapixel front facing camera provides 720p video chat capabilities. Like the HTC One, Acer has built dual front-facing stereo speakers into device, powered by SonicMaster technology.

Pricing and availability is yet to be formally announced, but can be expected to vary by region.
Does anyone know if the digitizer is of the inductive kind like on the Note?

The stylus does look like it might be using a technology similar to Wacom's, that can trace the stylus tip without batteries, whilst conveying pressure information.

At least for artists this would be a great device for putting down thoughts on "paper".
