Sell-outs, leaked SKUs point to updated MacBooks at WWDC
Two new reports may suggest that Apple is planning to update MacBooks at WWDC, which begins June 10th. 9to5Mac says it has been given product SKUs for four new MacBook models, which appear to represent high- and low-end configurations of two different sizes of the same notebook. It's unclear whether that means the MacBook Air or the Retina MacBook Pro, both of which have similar tiers.

The site's sources meanwhile say that global inventories of the Air and the Pro are low, another sign of an imminent hardware refresh. This is backed up by recent news of vendors running out of the Air. AppleInsider today notes that Amazon has run out of the base-level 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro.
The 9to5 sources add that Mac mini and Mac Pro supplies are limited as well, but not to the same degree as MacBooks. That could mean that the desktops will be updated sometime after WWDC. Non-Retina MacBook Pros are said to be readily available, which could hint that Apple is planning to discontinue them.
