Sony teases Xperia Z Ultra phablet, stylus in Paris event invitation
Sony could be unveiling the Xperia Z Ultra phablet on the fourth of July, suggesting the <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/287643==http://www.electronista.com/articles/13/01/07/sony.brings.new.android.flagship/" rel='nofollow'>Xperia Z</a> follow-up will be a direct competitor to the <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/287644==http://www.macnn.com/reviews/samsung-galaxy-note-ii-t-mobile.html" rel='nofollow'>Samsung Galaxy Note II</a>. Invitations to an event being held in Paris, France, hints at the phone's design by showing the side with what appears to be a hole for stylus storage, along with pointing out the hand-written part of the invite using a stylus. <br />
<br />
The invitations, received by french blogs such <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/287637==http://www.frandroid.com/actualites-generales/146350_sony-invite-la-presse-le-4-juillet-pour-une-annonce-du-xperia-z-ultra" rel='nofollow' target="_self" title="">as</a> <em>Frandroid</em>, can be translated as saying "Sony Mobile reserves a big surprise for you" and to "put a note in your agenda," something <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/287638==http://www.xperiablog.net/2013/06/12/first-image-of-xperia-z-ultra-teased-super-slim-phablet/" rel='nofollow' target="_self" title="">that</a> <em>Xperia Blog</em> suggests is a hint towards its rumored 6.4-inch display. It is expected to have a 1080p screen using "Triluminos with X-Reality for Mobile," use a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor running at 2.2GHz with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and an 8-megapixel rear camera. <br />
<br />
The Xperia Z Ultra, if it is indeed what will be revealed at the event, will be the latest in a quick succession of smartphones from the company. In recent months, Sony has made the waterproof <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/287639==http://www.electronista.com/articles/13/05/13/sony.xperia.zr.delivers.xperia.z.performance.in.a. 46.inch.package/" rel='nofollow' target="_self" title="">Xperia ZR</a>, the entry-level <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/287640==http://www.electronista.com/articles/13/06/04/sony.brings.its.design.flair.to.the.entry.level.wi th.xperia.m/" rel='nofollow' target="_self" title="">Xperia M</a>, and <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/287641==http://www.electronista.com/reviews/sony-xperia-zl.html" rel='nofollow' target="_self" title="">Xperia ZL</a> official, along with the <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/287642==http://www.electronista.com/articles/13/05/20/sony.xperia.tablet.z.now.available.globally.for.pr e.order/" rel='nofollow' target="_self" title="">Xperia Tablet Z</a>.
