FCC tests Asus Pad K009, reveals Nexus branding, 5MP camera, LTE
An <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/287736==http://www.electronista.com/articles/13/06/03/ten.inch.memo.pad.fhd.10.includes.1920x1200.resolu tion.display/" rel='nofollow'>Asus</a> tablet that could be the successor to the <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/287737==http://www.electronista.com/reviews/google-nexus-7-with-jelly-bean.html" rel='nofollow'>Nexus 7</a> has appeared at the FCC, matching <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/287738==http://www.electronista.com/articles/13/04/03/tablet.to.switch.from.nvidia.to.qualcomm.processor/" rel='nofollow'>previous rumors</a>. A device by the name of "ASUS Pad" with the model number K009 appeared in a <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/287739==https://apps.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas/reports/ViewExhibitReport.cfm?mode=Exhibits&RequestTimeout =500&calledFromFrame=N&application_id=995795&fcc_i d=MSQK009" rel='nofollow'>filing</a>, and according to details listed in the Commission's paperwork, would include LTE connectivity as well as a rear-facing 5-megapixel camera. <br />

Though it is possibly the next version of the Nexus 7, one drawing for illustrating where the FCC labeling seems to suggest that it will be a naturally-landscape tablet rather than the typical portrait orientation used by other tablets, <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/287734==http://www.tabletsmagazine.nl/2013/06/nieuwe-asus-of-google-nexus-7-tablet-verschijnt-bij-de-fcc/" rel='nofollow'>reports</a> <em>Tablets Magazine</em>. It also appears to have just a single small Asus logo in the middle of the back casing, instead of either leaving space for the word "Nexus" to appear, though elsewhere Nexus is used as a "brand name." <br />
<br />
Other specifications listed by the FCC includes the use of Qualcomm Wi-Fi and cellular radios, a front-facing 1.2-megapixel camera to join the rear version, and a Qualcomm APQ-8064 processor, namely a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro.
