Samsung reveals Galaxy NX camera with interchangeable lenses, Android
Samsung has used its London media event to show off the new Galaxy NX camera, one that was leaked last week. Following on from the Galaxy Camera and the newly-introduced Galaxy S4 Zoom, the Galaxy NX is a mirrorless camera claimed to be the first camera in the world with interchangeable lenses, uses Android, and has LTE connectivity.

The camera is compatible with the entire NX range of camera lenses, of which there are currently 13. Using a 20.3-megapixel APS-C sensor, it has a shutter speed that hits 1/6,000th of a second, has a burst fire mode of up to 8.6 frames per second, an ISO range that goes up to 25,600, and can shoot 1080p video at 24 or 50fps. An SVGA viewfinder accompanies the large 4.8-inch touchscreen on the back.

Running on Android 4.2.2, the Galaxy NX is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM. 16GB of storage is supplemented by microSD expansion, and a 4,360mAh battery. Thanks to its use of Android, it uses a similar interface to that of the Galaxy smartphones, and offers more than 30 smart modes. Images can be transferred onto various social networks over its built-in Wi-Fi and LTE connections.
Samsung has not yet revealed availability nor pricing for the Galaxy NX.
