Nokia launches Lumia 625 with 4.7-inch display, LTE connectivity
Nokia has launched a new smartphone with its largest screen so far, at an event in London earlier today. The Lumia 625, spotted in a TENAA regulatory filing in China earlier this month, uses a 4.7-inch 800x480-resolution IPS display with a high brightness mode and sunlight readability, and is said to be sensitive enough to touch that it will work with gloves.

Inside is a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 running at 1.2GHz with 512MB of RAM and 8GB of expandable storage. On the back is a five-megapixel camera with an LED flash, paired with a front-facing VGA-resolution model. Connectivity over USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.0, and Wi-Fi is provided, while power comes from a 2000mAh battery. The Windows Phone 8 device also comes with some of the software that is seen in the Lumia 1020, such as Nokia Smart Camera, and while it will be able to connect to 2G and 3G networks, it will also have support for LTE networks as well.

The Lumia 625 will be going on sale in the third quarter of this year in China, Europe, Asia Pacific, India, Middle East, Africa, and Latin America, for around 220 euros ($290).
