Sony Xperia i1 Honami claimed shown in photographs with Xperia Z looks
Photographs claimed to show the Sony Xperia i1, also known as Honami, have appeared online. The smartphone, rumored to have a 20.7-megapixel Exmor RS sensor, a Sony "G Lens" and discrete Bionz image processor, is apparently shown in the images to have a similar appearance to the Sony Xperia Z and Xperia Z Ultra.

While the images sent to Gadget Helpline seem real enough, they also open up a number of questions about the device. Though it is a thin smartphone despite the image sensor and lens assembly, avoiding the "hump" found on the Nokia 1020, it appears to have just an LED flash instead of a Xenon version. Towards the bottom is a large speaker grille, which suggests it is not going to be a waterproof device like its predecessors. It is possible that the device shown is a prototype rather than a finished product, but due to the inability to confirm whether or not the pictures are genuine, there is a chance that this could be a fake device.
Previous rumors of the Xperia i1 suggest it will have a five-inch 1080p display, use a Snapdragon 800 running at 2.2GHz, and use 1GB of RAM with 16GB of expandable storage. It is suggested that Sony could be looking towards its IFA press conference in September to launch the device.
