Sony rumored to reveal full-frame NEX-FF on September 24th
Sony is said to be preparing to announce a full frame version of its <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/291039==http://www.electronista.com/articles/13/02/18/nex.3n.has.extra.zoom.lever.near.shutter.161mp.sen sor/" rel='nofollow'>NEX line</a> of compact system cameras, one that is slightly larger than the <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/291040==http://www.electronista.com/articles/11/08/24/sony.nex.7.and.nex.5n.official/" rel='nofollow'>NEX-7</a>. The tentatively-titled NEX-FF will be unveiled on September 24th, according to a leak, with the digital imaging device claimed to be the most compact digital interchangeable mount Full Frame camera in the world. <br />

Sources of <em>Sony Alpha Rumors</em> <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/291037==http://www.sonyalpharumors.com/sr4-nex-ff-camera-to-be-announced-on-september-24-tomorrow-zeiss-lens-specs/" rel='nofollow'>say</a> that the company has worked on the project for the last two years in secret, with Sony-Zeiss also said to be collaborating with Olympus on the camera. The NEX-FF is also said to have five-axis image stabilization from Olympus, and will be accompanied at launch by two Zeiss FF lenses, though the report is still seeking confirmation on this. Current versions of E-mount lenses will also apparently work with the NEX-FF, though in crop mode. <br />

While details are light, it is suggested that the NEX-FF will cost similar to the <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/291038==http://www.electronista.com/articles/12/09/09/full.frame.sensor.touted.pop.up.flash.confirmed/" rel='nofollow'>RX1 and RX1R</a> series cameras for the body alone, putting it at around $3,000. More details of the camera are expected to surface shortly before its expected launch date.
