Briefly: Gmail compose window changes, Android Kindle app updates
Google is updating its e-mail composition interface for all users, removing the old version entirely and replacing it with a pop-up version. The new e-mail creation window, already used by a number of users for some weeks now and set to roll out to everyone over the next few days, takes the form of a pop-up window in the bottom right corner, which Google says allows for users to monitor their inbox while writing new messages, with the added option of a full-screen mode for more workspace.
Amazon has updated its Kindle reading app for Android. The new version adds the option to sort the library by title, author, and the most recently read, and a number of stability improvements, writes Engadget. The app will also keep track of reading speeds, and will estimate how much time it will take for the reader to get through the remainder of a chapter and the book in its entirety.

I don't understand why they don't move to a tabbed interface like Yahoo Mail. It is so much easier! You then can change in the middle of a new message to searching messages, to compose another message, to ... and all without leaving the message you are composing.

I hate the new compose window. My choices are bottom right and maximized. Ugh.
