Nokia's Windows RT tablet leaks out in first photos
Following yesterday's specification leaks, Nokia's Windows RT 8.1 tablet has made an appearance in photos on Chinese site Digiwo. The red colored tablet carries Nokia branding, the Windows RT logo, along with Verizon's network logo with support for its 4G LTE network also apparent. The design looks exceptionally thin from the side angle, although no information about its exact dimensions have been uncovered at this time.

Nokia is expected to launch the device some time in September according to The Verge, while the device itself is not expected to reach customers until at least October 17, when Microsoft officially rolls out the Windows RT 8.1 update. A version for AT&T is also expected to reach the US, suggesting that Nokia may be banking on carrier subsidies to help give the device some sales momentum. In addition to upfront discounting, the device will also pack high-end specifications that will also help to make it attractive.
The tablet will be powered by Qualcomm's high-performance Snapdragon 800 quad-core CPU clocked at around 2.2GHz and matched with at least 2GB of RAM. The Adreno 330 GPU will also give it plenty of graphics muscle, while it is expected to ship with 32GB of user storage. Its 10.1-inch display will feature IPS tech and 1080p resolution. Despite numerous OEM's dropping Windows RT, the Windows RT 8.1 update includes some substantial improvements that may help to rekindle user interest in the platform.
