Google adds Snapseed-based photo editing tools to Google+
Google has introduced some new photo editing tools to its Google+ social network. The new tools, a product of its Snapseed acquisition last year, provide a wide array of basic editing and adjustment tools to the Android and iOS Google+ apps as well as through Chrome, with users of other browsers having relatively basic tools to use.

The Auto Enhance option, teased as part of a raft of changes by Google in May, makes a number of automatic adjustments to an image, though these can be removed or customized as the user sees fit. A selective adjustment tool will permit changes to specific areas of an image, such as making a sky bluer, without change the rest of the image, and Instagram-style filters also make an appearance. Non-Chrome browsers will be able to crop and rotate photographs, and all versions will be able to undo any changes made and to revert to the original picture.

The updates will be rolling out to users gradually, with accounts already enabled with the new tools able to see the options under the "Edit" button in uploaded images.
