Kogan launches $190 quad-core, 5-inch 720p smartphone
Australian online electronics retailer <a href="">Kogan has launched</a> a budget quad-core smartphone for $190. The device centers on a 5-inch 720p IPS display and is powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz matched with 1GB of RAM. It will ship with Android 4.2.2 out of the box and is currently up for pre-order and due to ship from October 3.<br /><br />The Kogan Agora smartphone supports 3G networks operating on the 850, 1900 and 2100mHz bands at HSDPA speeds, ships unlocked and also supports dual-SIM cards. It packs an 8-megapixel rear camera with a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls. <br />

Connectivity includes support for 802.11n, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0. On board storage has been limited to 4GB to help keep costs down, although this is expandable with a microSD card. The device includes a 2000mAh battery and weighs in at 153 grams. <br />
