Google releases new Android, iOS versions of QuickOffice for free
Google today has made its acquired <a href=" nexus.tablets/" rel='nofollow'>QuickOffice suite</a> free for both the iOS and Android platforms. The package allows users to modify Microsoft Office documents on a wide array of mobile devices. The app is integrated with the recently-upgraded Google Drive, with users signing into Google Drive through the QuickOffice app being granted 10GB of extra storage for two years.<br />

Users that have already purchased the app also qualify for the 10GB of storage, when they sign in to Google Drive through the updated version of the app before September 26. Users are not awarded the extra storage immediately, but the account should be credited within "the next few weeks."<br />

QuickOffice is available on both <a href="" rel='nofollow'>Google Play</a>, and the <a href="" rel='nofollow'>iOS App Store</a>.

At this point, how worthless is the feature-crippled Microsoft Office Mobile for iOS?

With this free Google Office Suite, there's no reason to get MS Surface. But where are the current Google cloud base Office Suite stand?

Just found out: Google Quick Office is strictly for use on MS Office Suite files. Google Drive App uses their own proprietary file formats. The two don't mix. Quick Office can view Google Drive App formats but not able to modify.
