Sony Mobile poster asks employees to avoid smartphone leaks
Sony is hoping to tighten up its security surrounding its mobile devices in the future, after the launch of the Xperia Z1. The electronics giant has allegedly placed posters in its offices to warn its staff away from sharing details with non-employees, complete with its list of rules for handing confidential, prototype mobile devices.

The poster, said by Xperia Blog to have been taken in a Sony Mobile office somewhere in Asia, orders staff not to use phones without a "protective cover," and not to show prototype phones to people outside of the company, unless an NDA is signed. Online usage instructions are also provided, with warnings to avoid third-party benchmarking apps, and not to upload images to publicly-viewable websites, such as social networks.
Technology companies have been susceptible to having upcoming products leaked in recent years, with the Xperia Z1 being an example of how far these leaks can go. Photographs of the device, along with correct specifications, press renders, the FCC filing, and its 20.7-megapixel camera all leaked well before its launch.
