Mad Catz shipping M.O.J.O. Android game console on December 10
Game peripheral producer Mad Catz has revealed that it will be releasing its Android-powered game console on December 10. The M.O.J.O Micro-Console is able to display Android apps and games on a television, with apps downloaded from Google Play, rather than the platform-specific store approach favored by competitors GameStick and Ouya.

Powered by an Nvidia Tegra 4 processor running at 1.8GHz with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage expandable by SDXC cards, the M.O.J.O. runs on stock Android 4.2.2 and is able to use other Android app stores aside from Google Play. Connectivity is provided by Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and Ethernet, while it also has one USB 3.0 port, a USB 2.0 port, HDMI-out, and a 3.5mm headphone socket. It will be shipping with its C.T.R.L.R Bluetooth-based game controller, which can allow the M.O.J.O. to interpret the movements of the left analog stick as a mouse, in order to use navigation designed for touchscreens.

The M.O.J.O. is currently available to pre-order, at a cost of $250 in the United States, and £220 in the United Kingdom.
