Google, HP start shipping updated Chromebook 11 chargers
Google and HP have started shipping the <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/300883==http://www.electronista.com/articles/13/10/08/chromebook.11.weighs.23.pounds.uses.magnesium.stre ngthened.plastic.body/" rel='nofollow'>Chromebook 11</a> to retailers again, following the <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/300884==http://www.electronista.com/articles/13/12/17/charger.recall.affects.over.140000.chromebooks/" rel='nofollow'>charger recall</a>. The Chrome OS notebook remains unchanged, except that it is supplied with a charger that appears to be from the Chromebook Pixel with a micro-USB tip, though apparently it charges at a slower rate to the charger originally supplied with the device. <br />

While the shipments have started again, such as the one received <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/300879==http://9to5google.com/2013/12/19/after-recall-google-releases-updated-hp-chromebook-11-with-newly-designed-power-adapter/" rel='nofollow'>by</a> <em>9to5Google</em>, Google has yet to update its <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/300880==http://www.google.com/intl/en_us/chrome/devices/hp-chromebook-11/" rel='nofollow'>product pages</a> to show it as available again, but this is likely to change soon. The new chargers supplied with the Chromebook 11 will in theory eliminate the <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/300881==http://www.electronista.com/articles/13/11/13/reports.claim.hp.and.google.are.behind.stop.not.be st.buy.corporate/" rel='nofollow'>potential overheating</a> and melting issue of the original, with Google having also created a <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/300882==http://chrome.blogspot.co.uk/2013/11/important-update-on-hp-chromebook-11.html" rel='nofollow'>claiming form</a> for existing Chromebook 11 owners to get a replacement version. <br />

The Chromebook 11 uses an 11.6-inch, 1366x768 display, and has a Samsung Exynos 5250 processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. Dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth 4.0, Verizon LTE, two USB ports, a VGA webcam, and a 30Wh battery are also included in the device, along with 100GB of Google Drive storage for two years, 12 free GoGo inflight Internet service and a 60-day trial of Google Play Music.
