Second Asus CES video teaser suggests smartphone trio on the way
Asus could be preparing a trio of smartphones to show off at CES next month, if rumors based on the company's second <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/301460==http://www.electronista.com/articles/13/12/23/video.teases.possible.windows.android.tablet.spott ed.in.early.december/" rel='nofollow'>video teaser</a> are to be believed. The clip, asking "What's your number?" and focusing on the numbers 4, 5, and 6, could be suggesting that Asus will be showing off three devices sporting a 4-inch, 5-inch, and a 6-inch display. <br />
<br />
Aside from the numbers and the details for the event at CES, the video gives little else in the way of clues. <em>Pocket-Lint</em> <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/301456==http://www.pocket-lint.com/news/126074-asus-teases-4-5-and-6-inch-smartphone-launches-at-ces-2014" rel='nofollow'>advises</a> that the video is set in Taipei, Taiwan, the home city of Asus itself, though the significance of the location and the raining of number-covered balls is believed to have little to do with the devices, except for the numbers themselves. <br />

If Asus is going to show three smartphones, a 6-inch device would be a push by the company into the Phablet market. While the company has dabbled with the Phablet market, in the form of the 6-inch <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/301457==http://www.electronista.com/articles/13/06/03/asus.fonepad.fhd.note.takes.on.galaxy.note.with.in tel.atom.inside/" rel='nofollow'>FonePad Note</a>, it has yet to have any major success with the form. <br />
<br />
The first <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/301458==http://www.electronista.com/articles/13/12/23/video.teases.possible.windows.android.tablet.spott ed.in.early.december/" rel='nofollow'>teaser video</a>, showing the Statue of Liberty holding a color changing stone tablet, is thought to represent a dual-OS device capable of running both Android and Windows. An earlier <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/301459==http://www.electronista.com/articles/13/12/03/asus.tablet.variants.in.filing.will.run.windows.an droid.or.both/" rel='nofollow'>FCC filing</a> leaked the existence of such a device, powered by an Intel Atom Bay Trail processor, options for 32GB or 64GB of storage, and a 3,910mAh battery.
