Cambridge Audio to show off new amps, converters, speakers at CES
Next week at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Cambridge Audio will show off its 2014 lineup of stereo products, including a range of speakers, amplifiers, and converters. The new units will include refreshes to Cambridge's flagship device lines, as well as a number of other audiophile-oriented equipment. The additions will range in price from $129 up through $2,799, with availability for all set for the first quarter of 2014.

First on offer will be the Azur 851E Preamplifier and 851W Power Amplifier. The two devices work in tandem to produce clearer audio, with the 851E sporting a more versatile and high-end friendly range of inputs over its predecessor, the 840E. It has three balanced XLR inputs, as well as a linear volume control circuit. The 851W contains a refined version of Cambridge's proprietary, patent-pending Class XD system, as well as toroidal transformers and Terrapin impedance buffering modules, resulting in a more precise audio output.
The 851W will retail for $2,799, with availability beginning in January. The 851E will also be available in January, with a price tag of $1,999.
Cambridge hails its Azur 851D Digital-Analog Converter as its best DAC ever. It improves on its predecessor by adding a comprehensive range of digital inputs, meaning the device can handle content from an array of sources, including computers, smartphones, set-top boxes, media streamers, and more. It will be available beginning in January, with a price tag of $1,649.
Last up are Cambridge's Minx XL Satellite Speakers and Minx C46 Ceiling Speakers. The Minx XL speakers pack hi-fi performance into a small package, while the Minx C46 speakers are small enough to be concealed in a number of places. The C46 speakers pack Balanced Mode Radiator technology, which includes drivers with "bending wave" principles that yield a wider frequency response and deeper bass frequencies. The Minx XL will be available for $350 in the spring, while the Mix C46 will be available for $129 in January.
