Sony Australia lists a3500 on website before official unveiling
Sony Australia has leaked the company's upcoming a3500, by putting the Alpha-range camera up for pre-order through its website. Photographs and specifications of the 20.1-megapixel interchangeable-lens camera are available to view, despite the lack of an official launch by the company, with the snapper having few in the way of improvements over its predecessor, the a3000.

Spotted by Photo Rumors, the a3500 uses an Exmor APS CMOS Sensor, and a sensitivity of up to ISO 16,000. Just like the earlier camera, it has a 25-point autofocus system, a Tru-Finder electronic viewfinder with 100-percent coverage, automatic object framing, and a burst speed of up to 3.5fps. On the back is a 3-inch, 230k-dot display, and while it includes a number of in-camera effects for still images, it is also capable of filming 1080p video.

Compared to the full specifications list of the a3000, the a3500 appears to have barely changed, though Photography Blog claims the new version will have an improved battery life and will ship with the new Sony E 18-50mm f/4-5.6 lens.

The a3500 is currently priced at AUS $499 ($455) though there is not currently a release date listed for the camera.
