Briefly: New PS4 update, XBMC Hub guides for Amazon Fire TV install
Sony released its first notable update for its PS4 game console today, offering new features that focus primarily on social elements. A new video-editing app, ShareFactory, will be available from the PS4 home screen, allowing users to capture gameplay and customize recorded footage with various special effects, to ultimately share the video via Facebook or save it to a USB.

Content can be broadcast on Twitch in 720p HD, and Sony will now permit searching friends-of-friends and view mutual friends. Additionally included is the new ability to pre-order game downloads that will begin downloading automatically on its launch day. Additionally, payment for PS4 Store content can now be done using PayPal instead of a credit card.
XBMC Hub media player offers guides for use with Amazon Fire TV
XBMC Hub, a free media player for use in conjunction with unofficial, third party add-ons to create consolidated video on demand, has released two guides for how to connect its service with Amazon Fire TV. XBMC allows users to stream from a variety of video sites, such as 1Channel, Project Free TV, USTVNow, FilmOn, and more, in a video-on-demand app format. Released today are two guides on how XBMC can be installed to the Amazon Fire TV, using either a Windows operating system or Android device. Both guides highlight the steps required, of which both include toggling on ADB debugging within the Amazon Fire TV's settings, as to then stream content through the device. XBMC Hub is available for free download.
