HTC One M8 rumored to gain updated display, improved specifications
Samsung may not be the only company producing a "<a href="http://macnn.com/rd/310140==http://www.electronista.com/articles/14/05/19/specification.changes.1440x2560.display.touted.in. upgraded.galaxy.s5/" rel='nofollow'>Prime</a>" version of a smartphone, as a new rumor claims HTC will be doing the same for its <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/310141==http://www.electronista.com/reviews/htc-one-m8.html" rel='nofollow'>HTC One M8</a>. Just as suggested for the Galaxy S5 Prime, the HTC One M8 Prime will have a Quad HD 1,440x2,560 display measuring 5.5 inches, larger than the rumored Samsung device, and equaling that of <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/310142==http://www.electronista.com/articles/14/05/08/lg.55.inch.panel.certified.as.qhd.likely.to.appear .in.lg.g3/" rel='nofollow'>LG's</a> upcoming flagship. <br />
<br />
It is believed the smartphone will be waterproof, in part due to an aluminum and liquid silicone composite for the main body, according to <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/310135==https://twitter.com/evleaks/status/468308883241320449" rel='nofollow'>the</a> <em>@evleaks</em> Twitter account. It is also claimed the Prime will use a quad-core Snapdragon 805 clocked at 2.5GHz with 3GB of RAM, and it will be the first HTC device that will offer Category 6 LTE-A connectivity. Potential launch dates for the device are unknown. <br />

The latest collection of leaks stems from comments made by Jeff Gordon, the senior global online communications manager for HTC. Gordon <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/310136==https://twitter.com/urbanstrata/status/468265770653196288" rel='nofollow'>posted</a> on Twitter that a well-known leader had been "completely wrong" about two leaks, warning "Be careful where you get your news." @evleaks posted the extra information about the Prime shortly after this declaration, though Gordon later <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/310137==https://twitter.com/urbanstrata/status/468378108081352704" rel='nofollow'>claimed</a> his comment "wasn't even referring to the person who assumed it was about him. Ego run amok." <br />
<br />
Gordon previously commented about earlier <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/310138==http://www.electronista.com/articles/14/02/20/leaked.images.show.silver.gold.grey.versions.of.ht c.one.follow.up/" rel='nofollow'>M8 rumors</a> from HTC, thanking @evleaks for the "enthusiasm for HTC and ongoing offers for free PR," and was behind the taking down of a <a href="http://macnn.com/rd/310139==http://www.electronista.com/articles/14/03/03/dual.camera.microsd.card.slot.confirmed.in.removed .video/" rel='nofollow'>leaked video</a> outlining all of the device's features.
