Avi for QT petition ;)

it is to ask apple to put avi support in quicktime so we could watch divx without doctoring nor anything (plus we could play lot of other movies in quicktime)

This is perhaps a stupid question, but I thought QT handled avi files? Haven't tried in a long time, but I thought I had used QT for that in the past. If so, did this change at some point? :confused:

I think QuickTime handles the "official" specs for AVI and no one in the Windows world sticks to those standards and thus we get avi's that are not playable on quicktime.

At least thats what I think is going on.
