The Terminal.

I don't know why anything would be better. After all, you start out in a shell and ssh into a computer only to get another shell.

The clients for 9 are so clumsy. You exit and the window goes away. But, when you're in Terminal, you exit and you're back to your own shell.

hu?

what's wrong with typing "telnet" or "ssh" in the terminal? anything you can't do from there?
(set aliases to your favorite telnet and ssh sites in your .cshrc or .bash_profile for convenience)

I love Terminal, though it can't handle the DEC Graphics option in Nethack properly. So all my rooms look like this:

------
........
------

Instead of nice pretty solid lines...

For nethack I would reccomend using GLterm which though I don't have the
link handy can be found on Version Tracker...
