can't boot into 9???

tried to use startupdisc to reboot into 9.2.2 and all i get is a grey background with a sign look like a powerbutton (square) with a 0 (zero) inside???:confused:

Now I have deleted everything on my harddrive and still can't boot to os9 even from disk?? So I can't install os9 at all????
My computer don't want anything to do with something under X....even resist Norton?? Pleeease someone must know something?
