HELP my computer have "blocked" OS9??

PLEEEASE someone ..my computer won't let me install OS 9...X works fine but totally blockes everything else??
Trying to start from cd holding C, don't work? Pressing shift, don't work?
Zapping pram, don't work?
Have tryed to erase the hd and do a completly new install but just the X cd will work?
Got a grey background with a square powerbutton with a zero (or a 2) in it?:confused:

Same on my Ti500. I don't understand what happened. Is it a firmware problem?
I first thought the cd was damaged, but it does work on my iMac.

The problem is detected and it's called scsi!! Now everything is back to normal :)

Well if you're trying to install 9 on a drive that already has X, it won't work. I recently had to do this as well, so I installed 9 to my iPod and then copied all the folders over. If you don't have an external hd though, you may have to format.

when the computer at last let me to start up from the os 9.1 cd, there was NO problem installing it (upgraded to 9.2.2 thru software upd.)
everything works Grrrrreat now ;)
