(Sorry if this has been posted previously. I searched thru last 100 days manually, but <search> doesn't work at present.)

System: OS X 10.1.5
on Gb Ethernet DP 500,
Logitech Control Center 1.0.

Periodically, the trackball buttons cease to work. In this state, mouse movement works, but one cannot click on anything. Wheel continues to function.

More bizarre part: In this state, if you log out, buttons work (enabled for user selection), but upon login, they cease again (different driver when no one logged in?).

Upgraded over the weekend to 1.02. When thru the usual scary experience wherein logitech installs appear to take multiple reboots to "sink in." Took about 5-6 reboot, including one off old OS X 10.1 CD, before the trackball worked at all.

However, too early to tell if this will solve the lost clicks problem, as it is spurious at best.

I've seen suggestions (xlr8yourmac) that there is some interaction betwixt LCCDaemon & iTunes. Other suggestions for USBOverDrive. Neither of which I have tried as of yet.

Any other folks here experiencing this? Or, better yet, have a means for resolution?
