I have a beige G3 300 DT with 384MB RAM. I know it's a bit old, but I'd like to try Jaguar on it. What can I expect?

I was in the same situation with a computer at work... Stick with OS 9 and basically let it collect dust or upgrade to 10.2... I upgraded and was amazed that it's actually much faster then I would have thought.

It's not fast, but it can run Word, Mail, Netscape and have multaple network connections going without a major hit to the CPU (I'm not saying it's fast, but for the basics, it was OK for me...)

I'm wondering how Apache runs... can't be much worse then OS 9 and its web server.

Needless to say, for a 5 year old computer, it acted like a 3 year old computer... And I'm still fascinated that people are think that my beige tower is "new"...

P.S. My computer is now a great file server...
